Factor 1: Consuming more calories than body uses
The calories that needed by body is depending on person to person, such as: age, sex, physical activity, and the person’s metabolic rate.
Factor 2: Genetic and environment
Our body weight are influenced by genetic and environment. If your parents both are fat, you might inherit their obese gene and pass to next generation. It might caused by the mutant genes in body, slow down or insufficient to burn the calories as normal people. The obese families might share same environment that cause them obese.
Factor 3: Physical Inactivity
This is the main reason that causes increase in number of obesity among people. If physical activity increases, food intake also increases, so the body calories are balanced. If the physical activity decrease, but food intake does not decreases or even increases, so the calories that store in the body increase, the people will obese easily.

Nowadays, the diet has higher in fat. Due to the high-fat-diet do not trigger that stop-eating responses as fast as carbohydrate did, so people who are eating high-fat-diet will not easily to feel full, and tend to eat more food until the stop-eating responses are triggered. In addition, fat has twice as many calories per gram as carbohydrate and proteins.

Alcohol contains high calories which will cause obesity. Besides that, some people prefer to consume addition food such as snack, therefore, the calories that are taken is higher again. A single shot (1 ounce) of liquor has 80 to 90 calories. A 12-ounce regular beer (8% alcohol) has 150 calories. Furthermore, alcohol can stimulate the appetite and reduce self control to food intake.
Factor 6: Socioeconomic Factor
Obesity is more common is women who are lower socioeconomic as compared to women who are in higher ones. Due to women who lower socioeconomic do not have great chance to explore and present in front of public, so they might neglect their outlook such as their body shape. Therefore, they might not think to control their food intake or do not have so much knowledge about fitness and health.
Factor 7: Obese in Early Childhood
Some people who were obese as children are more likely to be obese as adults. It is because the fat cells are formed and weight gained during infancy and early childhood. They have up to 5 times fat cells in the body as compared to the people who are maintaining in normal weight. Therefore, they might have difficulties to lose weight due to the amount of fat cells are higher than normal people.
Factor 8: Women after Pregnancy
Many women have this problem, they gained weight after pregnancy and do not lose it afterward. Women will have more weight problem if they are having several children frequently. Hormone that released by the women during pregnant might be one of the factors that cause gain weight.

Many women gain weight after menopause. Due to the hormonal changes in the women body, the fat is redistributed in the body and accumulated around the waist.

Emotion might cause weight gain. For example: stress can affect weight. Some people might used to eat more when they are feeling stress. Eating can help them to relieve their stress. However, some people might not to eat when they are stress.
